Shopping is part of Google Ads, the product-image ads specifically. This page is for online shops that mainly need Shopping and feed work. If you want the full mix of Search, Shopping and more, my Google Ads page covers everything together.

Because Shopping has no keywords, you don't choose what to bid on, your feed does. Google reads your titles, types and attributes to decide which searches to show you for. Fix the feed and you're competing for the right searches. Ignore it and you're invisible for half of them.

Not quite. PMax uses your Shopping feed but runs it across all of Google, Search, YouTube, Display and more, with far less control.
