Ecommerce PPC That Sells, Not Just Clicks

Anyone can spend your budget and hand you a graph of clicks going up. Selling products profitably is a different job. I'm a North Wales ecommerce PPC consultant, running Google Shopping, Meta and Performance Max with one number in mind, the money that lands in your account after the ad spend and the margin.

What Ecommerce PPC Actually Covers

"Ecommerce PPC" isn't one thing you buy, it's a handful of paid channels working together to put your products in front of people ready to buy. Here's what I run, and where each one earns its place.

Google Shopping

The product images at the very top of Google. For most online shops this is the single hardest-working channel there is. More on Google Shopping.

Performance Max

Google's AI campaign that spans Shopping, YouTube, Display and Search from one set of assets. Powerful, but it needs a firm hand or it quietly wastes money on branded traffic you'd have won anyway.

Meta Ads

Facebook and Instagram, including Shops and dynamic product ads that re-show people the exact items they browsed. Brilliant for demand you have to create rather than catch. More on Meta Ads.

Shopify Ads & Shop Campaigns

If you're on Shopify there's a fast-moving set of ad options built right into the admin, including the new pay-per-sale Shop Campaigns. More on Shopify advertising.

Amazon Ads

If you sell on Amazon as well as your own site, Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands are their own discipline. More on Amazon Ads.

The Feed & The Tracking

None of the above works without a clean product feed and conversion tracking that actually counts sales. This is the unglamorous plumbing most agencies skip, and it's usually where the money leaks.

Why a Consultant, Not an Ecommerce Agency?

Search "ecommerce PPC agency" and you'll find plenty of firms happy to take a percentage of your spend. Sometimes an agency is genuinely the right call, big in-house teams, multiple markets, round-the-clock cover. But if you're a growing online shop in North Wales or anywhere in the UK, here's what you get working with me instead.

Margins, Not Just ROAS

A 4x ROAS is a loss on a 20% margin and a goldmine on 70%. I run to what you actually keep, not the number that looks best in a dashboard.

Blended, Not Channel-Reported

Every platform claims the same sale. I judge campaigns on total new customers and total store revenue, so you're not fooled by three dashboards all taking credit for one order.

You Talk To Me

No account managers, no juniors learning on your budget. The person who sets up your campaigns is the person who answers the phone. You even get my mobile number.

Your Accounts, No Lock-In

Your ad accounts, your feed, your data, full access from day one. Month to month, no contracts. If I'm not making you money, you leave and keep everything.

1

Have a Chat

Your products, your margins, your average order value and where you're trying to get to. Ten minutes tells me whether I can actually help.

2

Check the Feed & the Numbers

I look at your product feed, your tracking and any existing campaigns, and tell you honestly what's working, what's leaking and what's missing.

Clean feed, proper conversion tracking with real order values, and campaigns structured around your best-margin products. No shortcuts.

4

Keep Improving

Ongoing testing on the channels that pay and cutting the ones that don't, judged on blended revenue. That's where the real gains come from.

Questions People Ask

The ones I get most from online shops. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Depends what you sell and to whom. If people already search for your products, Google Shopping usually comes first. If you're creating demand for something new or visual, Meta tends to pull its weight. Most stores end up running both. I'll tell you where to start rather than switching everything on at once.

Total new customers and total store revenue against total ad spend, then sense-checked against your margins. Not the ROAS each platform reports for itself, because every channel claims the same sale. Blended is the honest number and it's the one I'll show you.

Yes, a lot. Shopify has its own fast-moving ad options baked into the admin now, including the new pay-per-sale Shop Campaigns. I've written up how they actually work, and where the "risk-free" pitch needs a closer look, on my Shopify advertising page.

As a rough guide you want enough spend to gather real data on one channel before spreading yourself thin. I've run smaller and larger. If your budget's genuinely too small to work, I'll tell you that up front rather than take your money.

Genuinely local. I'm Matt, based in Abergele, North Wales, and I work with online shops across the region and further afield. You get one person who knows your account, not a ticket in a queue.
